The EMTBravo Group was founded on January 1st, 2003 by Seth Granville, AKA "EMTBravo" AKA "x635". Initially, the site consisted of photos and information that Seth recieved and shared via an email list. To grow on the email list idea, a website to put this information up, as well as Seth's own photos, came EMTBravo.com. A popular feature of EMTBravo.com was the "News" section, in which readers would send in information about local apparatus deliveries, synopsis of incidents, upcoming tests, etc. Also popular was the members who sent in photos, which were posted in features on the site. As EMTBravo.com grew by word of mouth, the site got bigger and busier. In November of 2003, EMTBravo.com launched the EMTBravo Network Forums, something to expand on the news section. The forums were intended to replace the news section, and give readers of the site membership in a positive, constructive, and freindly enviroment in which to exchange knowledge, information and ideas. This forum has and is criticized for it's heavy moderation and zero tolerance for typical forum nonsense, and as a result has grown into a community of over 6,500 registrations, 20,000 topics, and 100,000 posts at the time of writing. Our membership has a wealth of knowledge to share, and we continue to work hard to cultivate the forums and try to make it one of the best communities on the web. One of our most popular forumfeatures, "Incident Alert", a log of breaking and recent incidents kept by our membership, is overseen and coordinated by Truck4,who developed the idea intially and is the Deputy Administrator for EMTBravo.net. Although there are some that would beg to differ, it's our vision, and it's been proven through the site, that firefighters, police officers, and EMS workers can work together, can become friends, can develop ideas, can learn from one another, and the list goes on. We're here to enhance the entire Emergency Services Community. x635Photos.com was launched in late 2006 as x635's personal photo gallery, since EMTBravo.com has become it's own entity. Additonally, in August 2006 x635:The Blog was launched for the same reason. The EMTBravo Network Forums have spawned two spinoffs in late 2006: EMTBravoNewEngland.com, and EMTBravoWest.com. Both are forums for their respective areas. As it's difficult to grow a succesful forum, we continue to get the word out there and recruit members so that we can duplicate the sucess of the EMTBravo Network forums so that these regions can share knowledge, information, and ideas. EMTBravoCentral.com was launched as the official EMTBravo Merchandise Store in March of 2007, and sold out of inventory quickly. There are currently no plans to offer more EMTBravo branded merchandise until 2008. The EMTBravo Group is a Granville Enterprises company. Granville Enterprises was formed in September of 2007 to provide the groundwork for further development of The EMTBravo Group, as well as some other seperate ventures that are currently in development. Granville Enterprises along with The EMTBravo Group are headquartered in Hartsdale, NY. All site operations, development, and adminstration are based in Hartsdale. The "backend" and backbone of the sites are our servers that host The EMTBravo Group websites, which are located in Los Angeles, CA, Dallas, TX, Forest, VA and Sunnyvale, CA. Both Granville Enterprises and The EMTBravo Group are privately funded, but rely on advertisers, sponsors, and donors to support computers, hardware and equipment neccesary to run the site, and to cover very expensive hosting costs. As of today, The EMTBravo Group is continually tweaking and introducing new ideas to benefit our visitors and membership.
